Abstract	This session intends to explore how digital humanities methods (e.g. data exploration, visualisation, machine learning), when used in combination with linguistic, historical, material and/or legal frameworks, can provide a holistic perspective on the evolution of medieval legal texts. In particular, it centres on identifying and analysing the threads that connect the texts within medieval manuscripts, and exploring the reasoning for continued usage, alteration or abandonment of certain branches of material. The three papers presented here address the innovations, opportunities, and challenges associated with exploring methodological, linguistic and material borders across medieval corpora, that span both space and time, through a digital lens.
