| Abstract | This round table discussion explores ways in which mystical understandings of love naturally resist attempts to confine them, crossing theological, philosophical, literary, linguistic, temporal, and geographical borders, as well as flowing out into the borders of manuscripts. It will further develop themes and topics explored in the three panel sessions. Participants include Michael Hahn (Pontifical Institute of Mediaeval Studies, Toronto), Racha Kirakosian (Albert-Ludwigs-Universität Freiburg), Benjamin Morgan (University of Oxford), and Lydia Shahan (Harvard University). |
