Session 916: Breaking Down Disciplinary Borders: Connecting Historical and Archaeological Research, V - How to Keep the Momentum Going, A Round Table Discussion

Tuesday 5 July 2022, 19.00-20.00

Organiser:Claire Burridge, Faculty of History, University of Cambridge
Moderator/Chair:Claire Burridge, Faculty of History, University of Cambridge
Abstract

The proposed round table discussion concludes the series of sessions on 'Breaking Down Disciplinary Borders: Connecting Historical and Archaeological Research'. It will bring together representatives from each of the sessions as well as several historians who have collaborated with archaeologists. A round table not only offers an opportunity to discuss key themes that have emerged across the four sessions but also, and perhaps most importantly, provides a platform to consider how to facilitate future collaborations, foster interdisciplinary research, and increase the dialogue between researchers in history, archaeology, and related fields.

Participants include Allison Beach (University of St Andrews), Ashley Coutu (University of Oxford), Piers D. Mitchell (University of Cambridge), and Carine van Rhijn (Universiteit Utrecht).
