Abstract

The intention of the first paper is to present the evolution of prayer communities formed around selected Danish and Pomeranian monasteries in the period from the 12th to the 15th century. Such presentation can be made possible with the use of commemorative liturgical sources, which mentioned the benefactors of monasteries from the Baltic countries. The aim of the second paper is to present the largest floods in the Southern coast of the Baltic Sea in the 14th and 15th centuries, which were interpreted as divine punishment for the sins of man, or even as the approaching apocalypse. The third paper is related to how lower clergy functioned in various networks of relationships in late medieval Prussia. The author will make an attempt at outlining a map of relationships of a typical representative of the lower urban clergy.
