Abstract

The second session on Digital History and New Directions in Crusade Studies explores a variety of digital tools with potential for driving forward research in the field. Natasha Hodgson will first seek to assess the needs of crusades scholars in terms of digital resources and then identify readily available digital tools than can enhance research as well as accessibility. Kate Arnold investigates how new digital tools in the field of experimental, virtual, archaeological acoustics may help recreate battle soundscapes during the crusades.
