Abstract

This session will feature speakers who will address the topic of late medieval tournament culture within the theme of 'Networks and Entanglements'. The session will feature papers from both single and interdisciplinary perspectives with the goals of connecting scholars working in this field and reconsidering the boundaries that have hampered development of this field in the past. Speakers will approach the theme of networks and entanglements from within their specific case studies to consider: networks of influence and interchange, political networks and entanglements within tournament culture, and the networks involved in legitimizing legacy.
