vIMC App Goes Live


To show delegates the IMC App interfaceWe're delighted that the virtual #imc2020 app is now live. Registered delegates can access the app (or download it to their device) here.

In the app, you can browse all aspects of vIMC – including the event programme, virtual bookfair, virtual craft fair and marketplace, and make connections with other delegates. You can also update your profile information and change your privacy settings within ‘My Profile’. We encourage all attendees to review this section, and add their details, when they first log in!

You can also use the app to connect with other delegates using the Chat and Meeting Request functions. We ask that all delegates use these responsibly and in line with our Policy on Dignity and Mutual Respect.

Although this is a free event, we ask all attendees to help us ensure that sessions are not disrupted. Therefore, please do not post links to vIMC session rooms elsewhere, either publicly on the internet (e.g. social media, blog, website) or privately to other non-registered individuals (e.g. via direct message, or email). Only registered delegates will be able to access vIMC sessions. Any registered delegate(s) found circulating links will be barred from vIMC and subject to disciplinary action, if appropriate.

To view and/or join a session, you should go to Programme & Session Rooms, then either scroll through to find the session you want, or use the magnifying glass button to search, or the eye to filter. Session details can be found by tapping on a session and expanding the details icon (downward arrow).

When a session is due to start, you can use the ‘Join Session’ button to join the session.

In the meantime, as we get closer to vIMC beginning next Monday, all delegates should make sure that you are running the latest version of Google Chrome on your device. This is the best browser to use to access vIMC sessions and updating it now will help you have a trouble-free first session on Monday!
