With colder days and darker nights approaching on the northern hemisphere, the opening of the IMC 2026 Call for Papers in sunny June is but a distant past. Despite the changes in weather, the International Medieval Congress (IMC) has reached a significant milestone in the planning for IMC 2026. After weeks of processing, reviewing, and liaising with the Programming Committee, the IMC Team are thrilled to be sending out acceptance emails to all the delegates whose sessions, papers, and round tables have become a part of the IMC 2026 Programme.

Congratulations to all who have been accepted! We look forward to welcoming everyone back on campus and the virtual platform next July to discover, explore, and celebrate how people have interpreted ‘Temporalities’ across a range of disciplines. If you have not received an email from us regarding your programme involvement, please get in contact with the IMC team at [email protected] .

We loved seeing your acceptance posts on social media last year, so this year, we have once again included a celebratory postcard in our notifications of acceptance. Check your inbox and help us light up Instagram, Facebook, and Bluesky with news of your acceptance! Tag us at @IMC_Leeds and @imc-leeds.bsky.social with the hashtag #IMC2026!

To ensure the accuracy of the IMC programme, delegates participating in IMC 2026 should log into the Speaker Center via the link on the acceptance email and ensure that all personal details, affiliations, and paper titles are correct. Any changes should be emailed to [email protected] by 12:00 Midday GMT Monday 08 December 2025 to ensure they make it into the first edition of the published Programme.

The Programme will be published online early in the new year. To make sure that you can keep up with all the exciting news and important information about IMC 2026 registration, look out for the January edition of the IMC Newsletter. Everyone who is subscribed to our IMC Newsletter mailing list will automatically be informed when the Programme is published in January. If you wish to be added to our mailing list, click here.

If you are not currently in the IMC Programme, don’t despair! Very soon we will make our Late Call for Papers live on the IMC website. This lists any sessions with vacancies and gives a chance for new speakers to present their research at the IMC.

Keep checking our website (https://www.imc.leeds.ac.uk/) and social media platforms for more news about the Late Call!
