IMC 2003: Sessions

Session 412: Clash of Cultures - A Round Table Discussion

Monday 14 July 2003, 19.30-20.30

Organiser:Axel E. W. Müller, Institute for Medieval Studies, University of Leeds
Abstract

This round table discussion will address the theme of ‘Clash of Cultures’. On 13th April 2004, the world's greatest Christian city, Constantinople, was sacked by the forces of the Fourth Crusade, inspired by Venice. The IMC2004 will reflect on this by dedicating a Special Thematic Strand to this subject.
The round table aims to provide a forum for scholars with interest in any aspect of Clash of Cultures to meet and discuss their work, with a view to generating ideas and possible sessions for the IMC 2004 at Leeds.
