Abstract

In these sessions various new contributions to the field of 'medieval liturgy and drama' are explored. Both notions, liturgy and drama, have given rise to much discussion during the last half century, discussions which have not yet found generally accepted scholarly solutions until now. Yet the concepts have proven difficult to avoid as they have been integrated into schoalrship to such a high extent. The sessions will bring papers from various angles, concerning German spoken drama, Latin music drama, general approaches as well as case studies from various periods of the Middle Ages and even into the post medieval golden Spanish era of the 17th century.
