| Abstract | In this session we shall present the DOEPN (Dictionary of Old English Plant Names) which is a joint project of the Universities of Graz and Munich, and which is also associated with the ASPNS (Anglo-Saxon Plant Name Survey). This electronic dictionary will list all the OE plant names, including rare and doubtful ones. It will deal with the identification of the plants as well as with linguistic aspects of plant names. Information will be provided on spelling, declension, number of occurrences (including the quotations), meaning, etymology, morphology (including word-formation) and semantic structure. |
