Abstract

This is an interdisciplinary session to present possible approaches to the study of pastoral societies and economies in the Mediterranean area in the Middle Ages and the Early Modern times. The papers combine different disciplines (history, archaeology, palinology, and oral history) to give account of the latest studies in the Pyrenees (Spain), southern France and the Appenines (Italy).
