Abstract

CARMEN brings together institutions and individual medievalists from across the world, to help them find suitable international partners and so form collaborative teams. It assists them where necessary in attracting funding for these projects, and provides them facilities for meeting.

This round table discussion is open to all medievalists, particularly those interested in constructing international collaborative projects, or in joining existing or prospective projects.

CARMEN has been successful in generating million-euro research projects. It has developed strategies for framing research in ways that are attractive to policy-makers and national and international funding agencies.

This round table discussion will provide information on current and prospective research projects developing under CARMEN's auspices. It will also describe the 'match-making' activities during its forthcoming Annual Meeting on 9-11 September 2011, at Madrid and Segovia.
