During 14th and 15th centuries the towns and cities of the Crown of Aragon adapted its institution according different political and social troubles and stimuli. Three examples could show this situation: the accomodation between seigneurial and local power in the case of Balaguer at the begining of 14th century; the actitude of towns and cities in the Catalan Parliament in front of the King in the middle of the14th century; and the reaction of towns and cities during the interregnum at the begining of 15th century.
