Abstract

By involving experts in various disciplines, this session will focus on the following questions that have never been specifically tackled before: how the Dionysian philosophical system related to the materiality and visualization of the world; Dionysian aesthetic terminology between Neoplatonism and Christianity; Dionysian concepts adopted by iconophiles and iconoclasts in the 'image struggle', and the conception of works of art.
