Abstract

Memory is a key internal sense in the psychological works attributed to Petrus Hispanus (13th C.): the textbook Scientia libri de anima and the Commentary on Aristotle's De anima. In this session both works will be discussed tackling philosophical problems relating memory and the constitution of human knowledge (e.g. abstraction and the role of sensitive and intellective memory) and free decision. Both works will be discussed to ascertain if they could have been written by one and the same author.
