Abstract

The year 2018 marks the 25th anniversary of both the IMC in Leeds and the awarding of world heritage status to the City of Bamberg: a perfect occasion to discuss the importance of 'memoria' in the context of cultural heritage and medievalism. This section examines the various facets of this phenomenon considered from the point of view of art history, the manuscript culture, and museum education.
