Abstract

This panel will explore art historical examples of remembrance that revolve around certain anxieties and conflicts - whether by delving into the material culture and conflict surrounding the Chest of Courtrai, exploring the tense relations between the parish church of Faversham and its ecclesiastical and monarchical superiors, or analyzing the ways by which people chose to remember the Black Prince.
