Abstract

The papers in this panel attempt to explore and discuss the variety of memories connected to certain peoples or events located to medieval Asia and revived in different types of sources, both of Western and Eastern origin. The variability of discourses of remembering past events reveals the strong connection between memory and hope and between the past and the future.
