Abstract

This session is organized by members of a research group focussed on the study of the potent and discursive nature of medieval religious knowledge, with special attention to the transfer and transformation of the subject matter. In the papers three different perspectives on the Eucharist will be presented ranging from theological considerations to religious plays. The main question that is discussed is the way in which Christ's absent body is made present and material by the Eucharist.
