Abstract

Sesssion organised by Aysu Dincer and Chiara Ravera. This session looks at aspects of gender and material culture in Catalonia through notarial records. The first paper addresses the contribution of women to the economic expansion of Puigcerda in the 13th century. The second paper looks at the material aspects of credit among Jewish women in the 13th-14th centuries. The last paper focuses on similarities and differences of material culture between Jewish and Christian women in Barcelona in the 14th century.
