Abstract

In 2019, three graduate students working on different aspects of medieval Iberia met at a reception in Leeds and commiserated over the difficulties of studying Iberia as early career scholars. They realised how difficult it was to meet other Iberianists in the early stages of the career, make connections with scholars from different countries, and share their work with the field and one another. What began as a casual conversation led to the establishment of a new collaborative group dedicated to connecting graduate student and early career Iberianists around the world and showcasing new exciting work through sponsored sessions.
