Abstract

The representation of the monarchy and the Queen's need to make them visible in the kingdom required they to move frequently. It was not only a political issue, but also depended on the seasonal rhythms of the Court, inclement weather or natural disasters. The analysis of the Queen's itinerary is key to understanding similarities and divergences that the movements of medieval Queens present. Specifically in this panel, different cases from the English, Portuguese, and Aragonese monarchies between the 13th and 15th centuries will be contrasted.
