Abstract | In this session we will present our scholarly results of the ongoing project 'Byzantino-Serbian Border Zones in Transition: Migration and Elite Change in pre-Ottoman Macedonia (1282-1355)', being part of the Tabula Imperii Byzantini Balkans. Our emphasis will be put on the borders in Byzantine Macedonia in the Middle Ages and their analysis with the tools of Digital Humanities. Moreover, we will address the elite change in the area of research in the 13th and 14th centuries. Finally, a PhD project within the framework of the Tabula Imperii Byzantini Balkans will outline the connection between the TIB Archive on the Balkans, archival studies, Digital Humanities and the World's Cultural Heritage. |
