Abstract

This is the last of three sessions on Mourning and Remembrance. 

The papers focus on the eastern Mediterranean. 

Yaroslav Stadnichenko's paper examines the epitaphs of Venetian Officials in the Venetian Eastern Mediterranean Colonies in the Medieval and Early Modern Period.

Dane Litchfield's paper looks at the positioning of the Church of the Holy Sepulchre as a visual experience to the medieval pilgrim.
