| Abstract | In the Middle Ages, compilation was a tried and tested means of acquiring and organising knowledge. The session examines how and under what conditions knowledge was collected, stored and utilised, especially in the early and high Middle Ages. The session focuses on less studied legal compilations and supposedly marginal figures; likewise, the possibilities of digital analysis and presentation will be explored. |
