Streaming Session Success from Confex to return for IMC 2025

Following the success of the 2024 hybrid IMC, more than 2,700 registered delegates are planning on attending IMC 2025 in person. However, we hope to provide a high-quality working platform for anyone who is unable to attend in-person, via our virtual platform. This is why we are delighted to be working with the Conference Exchange (Confex) to provide a virtual platform for IMC 2025 once more.
Congress Director, Axel Müller said: "For a third year, we are pleased to work with Confex to make the IMC fully hybrid. We believe that for an international conference - especially at times of global uncertainties - to have a conference that allows delegates to attend in person and virtually, and Confex provides the smooth platform to enable an inclusive experience for all delegates".
As in previous years, the Confex virtual platform will enable attendees from around the globe to participate live in IMC sessions both as presenters and audience members, while also facilitating simultaneous participation for speakers who are unable to present in Leeds in-person.
If you are no longer able to attend or present in person, it is essential you let us know by emailing [email protected] as soon as possible so that we can update our records and make the necessary arrangements to support the hybrid delivery of your session.
The platform will be accessible via desktop/laptop devices, as well as via native apps on iOS and Android via the Apple App Store and Google Play store respectively. Delegates should have been sent an email from [email protected] which will give you all the information you need to access the app and update your schedule.
As at the most recent IMCs, all sessions will be recorded with the recordings available via the platform from around 48 hours after the session finished. This year we are happy to say that registered delegates can watch the recordings for an extended period of time until 20 September 2025.
At the time of writing, only 2 out of the 721 sessions have been requested not to be recorded. The status of the recordings will be clearly marked in the IMC 2025 app. Recordings will only be accessible by registered IMC delegates but if you do not want your session to be recorded, please let us know as soon as possible so we can quickly remove the session from the recording list.
Confex will also contain a wide variety of different of different functions. This includes firstly the ability to schedule events, workshops, excursions, and reception efficiently on the same schedule as your sessions and round. Confex also has helpful maps and plans of campus, as well as networking and socialising tools which enable colleagues to connect with old and new friends during the IMC. Delegates are also given the chance to generate their certificate of participation to proudly present to their friends, family, and institutions.
