The IMC Wants to Hear from Early Career Researchers!
Our interview with Special Thematic Coordinator Sita Steckel has got us thinking about the IMC’s role in supporting Early Career Researchers. Sita shared her memories of attending IMC when she was in the early stages of her career as a young academic and highlighted how she immediately felt inspired by the Special Thematic Strand and be included among our ‘colourful variety’ of attendees and research areas. This reminded us that, while we’re delighted by the small role we have played in enhancing the careers of so many burgeoning scholars, we are always looking for more ways to uplift new voices within the medievalist community.
If you consider yourself to be an Early Career Researcher, we’d really appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts and ideas with us in this short survey. The IMC wishes to continue to be an enriching space for up-and-coming academics to develop new ideas and form important research networks to further enhance their future careers. We would like your opinions and voices to help us to expand and facilitate the organisation of ECR-focused round tables and workshops for IMC 2026 and beyond!
If you have any questions or queries, please do get in touch with the IMC office by emailing us at [email protected].
