Abstract

How can we make visible, audible, or interactive the many ways medieval people understood, structured, and manipulated time? This session series explores how digital technology enables us not only to study time, but to model, simulate, visualise and operationalise it, to analyse medieval temporalities in structured ways, and to reflect critically on how we digitally encode, abstract, or reimagine historical time.

Session II focuses on digital chronologies and medieval time, using GIS, travel data, and network analysis to model temporal relationships.
