Led by Lucy Moore
Money took a range of forms across the world in the medieval period. Join curator Lucy Moore for a hands-on session examining material from the under-studied collection here at the University of Leeds. From South America to south-east Asia, we'll compare coins, banknotes, and money from a range of medieval cultures and periods, encountering new objects and sharing perspectives on them.
Lucy is an experienced numismatic curator, who specialises in early British coinage. She is excited to share the collection, some of which has only recently been catalogued.
This workshop will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis. Delegates wishing to participate in this workshop should assemble at the Brotherton Library entrance. Please arrive promptly to secure a place as there is limited capacity.
